I'm trying to think through the structure problem before I hit it. Work gives you a calendar. Retirement doesn't. I've heard from people who retired and loved it immediately, and others who say the first year was genuinely difficult — more than they expected.
If you're already in it: what does a typical week look like? How much of it was planned vs emergent? Did you find a new anchor (part-time work, volunteering, a project) or did you just gradually fill the space?
I'm not worried about being bored. I have too many interests. But I am wondering how long it takes for the new rhythm to feel normal instead of wrong.
